Re: Discussion: Guest permission reduced over forums.

This is an old news discussions, and to update it: there is no guest limitations for reading the threads, and as pointed out, they need to register before one can post. This was changed in the month of March 2007 itself

We stand for transparancy. Let us be transparant. We have nothing to hide. However we may not like our site to give the look of ........at a public place.Anyone may look at us; but permission to post must be selective.

    coln shaib,

its very true that we stand for transparancy.

the thing is without any restrictions even the CPIOs, FAAs & the ICs can keep a tract on the discussions on live RTIs. and they can very well hamper the line of proceedings.

so in my opinion partial restriction is justified in the interest of RTI aplicants.

When RTI Act itself is a tool of transparency in public administration, the intricacies we discuss and share in RTIINDIA must be accessible to all. RTIINDIA knowledge can redefine the stream of thought of Public Authorities as well. Fruit of such openness shall flow to the general publilc.

I am of the opinion that guests should not be restricted. It may bar some good people to join us.

There hould not be any restriction in reading but non member should not be allowed to post. The people who like to give absurd comments will become a member and give comments, we should not fear it. Views are welcome we dont know from whom what good idea may come.
