    sec. 8(1)(b)of RTI Act

    Hi Everybody
CPIO of insurence co. denied to provide me sought information by saying that "as the case is pending in consumer forum so they are exempted u/s 8(1)(b) of RTI Act to provide required information"I want to know mere pendency of a case is sufficient for CPIO for denial of sought information. As i read Sec 8(1)(b) of RTI Act there is only provision of denial of that information which is specifically restricted by any court of law or nature of required informqation is falls in category of contempt of court.Plz enlighten me with citation. Thanks
