Sir, can we make RTI application through e-mail followed by a prescribed fee through post? In such cases, whether 30 days period counting either from date of sending of e-mail or receipt of fee?

    You can do so.
The date should be counted from the date of receipt of email by PIO.

But not many PIOs check their emails.
Since you are in any case going to send your application fee by other means, it is better to send the application also the same way.

    Dear friends,

I got the link to filing online RTI, the link is http://rti.india.gov.in/rti_direct_c...nt_lodging.php but I am little confused. Is it a complaint form or RTI form? If RTI form then please tell me how to make payment. There is no mention about payment in the CIC website.

    Regards,
    Ravi Verma

That website is ONLY meant for filing a complaint under Sec 18 or a second appeal under Sec 19. You cannot file a RTI application from that website.

For submitting a RI application, please read: http://www.rtiindia.org/guide/how-to...pplication-16/

Thank you very much Karika. I just checked up with the complain number on the website and it says:- "signed copy awaited"

    What does that mean?
