The first thing an applicant should learn is opening the website of that public authority and search in RTI Rules and regulations, about Public Information officer, format of application, mode of payment of RTI fee. If you want to know on RTI fee, you can search in any website of State Govt. Authority or State commission.

The surprising thing is the member asking this information is well known member of the forum, and this query is 21st thread by him. Does this mean that all these days this matter was not discussed earlier or at any time in the forum, or our failure to educate common members on essentials of RTI application ?

Re: How to framer application under Right to Information

one mst remember that RTI Application should seek only information not views. Use website of respective deptt. to know what are the information are disclosed u/s 4 (1) d, to be called as suo-motu disclosures & updated every year. It will reduce time if everyone. As advised "Ask information always by writing your name and signature, and not by your post, as only citizen have the right to information.
Do not ask a question containing 'WHY'! For example, questions like why you failed to pass the bill, is liable to be rejected for not covering under RTI Act. that too which is on record." If applicant does not want to disclose identity, he should take a post box, which cost paisa 92 per day. Refer recently referred this matter by administrator.
