I have got a communication from CIC. They have asked me to appear before IC on 29.11.07 at 2:00 pm at Delhi.

Now the point is I am a old man - 78 years, living on my savings. If I could go/come and stay in Delhi winter for just a hearing, I would have done it. But neither my health or finances permit me.

Is there a way out or should I drop my appeal?

As rightly said by mpai: "Mera Bharat Mahaan !"

There is a facility for attending the CIC hearing through the tele-conferencing mode, which can be arranged through the NIC studio nearest to your place of residence. Please dont drop your appeal.

Thank you, I will try. Can I have NIC Bangalore address, please.

  5. Re: Where to go next?

    Dear Shri Rai,
My web search reveals that for video conferencing facility, there is only one NIC studio for the whole of Karnataka based at Bangalore. The name of the contact person is given as Shri S M Shankar Raju with the telephone no. 080-25537123.

The address of the Karnataka State Centre of NIC is:
NIC State Centre, 6th & 7th Floor, Mini Tower, Visveshwaraya Building
Dr. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore - 560001

I hope this information will be of some use to you.

    1. Do not drop appeal.
    2. New CIC management regulations has some provisions on compensating the outstation RTI Appellants in attending hearing. We should know the outcome by end of Sept. 2007
    3. If not, the Video Conferencing facility would be a safe bet.

You have three months to decide.

    Best wishes

    Manoj

I don't want any compensation for going to Delhi. I just cannot go there due to physical reason. I am 78 years old and broke my knee cap in a recent accident and was operated upon.

I can try the video conferencing facility from Bangalore. But how do I requesting for it?

If my request is turned down, can somebody take up this case in Delhi on my behalf.

If the above two alternatives is not possible - will my case be decide ex-parte or it will be dropped by itself?

I too would like to take the case to logical conclusion, unfortunately my health doesn't permit.
